Bubbling Up With CO2 Cartridges

Whether you are planning to start your own catering business or are just overwhelmed by having to host countless parties, it is important to stock up on essential tools that are needed for every event to be a roaring success. The drinks you offer to your friends and guests are as important as the food you serve. You will surely earn the reputation of being a great host or party planner by putting up a first-rate bar for your clients or colleagues.

There is no need to fret over preparing the perfect concoction. Although bartending may sound complicated and intimidating you can make drinks like a pro with the rights tools. Aside from the basic implements like bottle openers, shakers, blenders, scoops, and drinking glasses, another useful device is the CO2 cartridge.

Gas cartridges are little steel compartments which store little amounts of pressurized gas for various purposes. A CO2 cartridge contains the needed amounts of carbon dioxide to carbonate drinks, freeze food, create special effects, or re-inflate bike tires.

CO2 cartridges clipped to soda siphons or seltzer bottles enable you to convert flat tap water into carbonated or seltzer water. Sparkling water is a common base ingredient for various cocktails. It’s the component that gives drinks that extra refreshing kick.

Carbon dioxide is not only a gas that occurs naturally in the atmosphere or that is produced from various human, commercial, and industrial activities. Carbon dioxide, which is a gas commonly regarded as essential for photosynthesis in plants, is also significant for internal respiration in a human body.

Impress the crowd by offering simple apéritifs, these are drinks specifically consumed before a meal. An example is Amer Picon, a French apéritifs that is easy to blend and is usually taken with lemon infused soda water. After the meal or during the party proper make your guests effervescent with expertly mixed margaritas, mojitos, daiquiris and martinis. Incite the group with lemon vodkas, Rum twisters, Irish whisky, gin, and rum fizzers. These cocktails require seltzer water, which would no longer be a problem with your handy CO2 cartridge.

Making cocktails should not just be about pouring random liquors in a glass, personalized soda waters where you can experiment with flavor and sugar content can be the special touch needed to make your drinks taste better.

The obligatory fruit punch is also an anticipated beverage for the ‘light’ drinkers in any get-together. It usually requires liters of club soda which can be easily accomplished with a CO2 cartridge. It is the perfect addition to every good host or aspiring bartender’s repertoire.

It is also important to be able to accommodate guests who prefer coffee, tea or other non-alcoholic beverages. Making great tasting alcohol-free drinks is not a problem when you have a soda siphon that could upgrade any fluid or fruit juice to a fizzy and bubbly drink.

A big part of creating a great celebration is generating an atmosphere of relaxation, merriment and fun. As a host or a party-planner it is your job to make your friends and guests feel welcome and comfortable.

Boba tea: An exquisite beverage

It has always been said that some beverages affect our health in miscellaneous ways. However, the healing characteristics of teas have helped men to counteract the negative effects of overweight during generations. Nowadays, there exists a wide variety of teas with the most diverse tastes and elaboration methods. Nonetheless, the boba tea drink, or as it is frequently named bubble drink, expands its frontiers with an overwhelming acceptance. Boba tea tastes a way no other beverage has ever being able to. The ingredients of this drink can certainly vary from country to country, even from region to region, but generally sugar or honey and milk, together with small pieces of tapioca mostly known as “boba”, are the principle ingredients.

Although it is served in most tea houses of the world and its popularity has reached unsuspected levels, it was not until 1980s that it appeared on the market.

Its origin was reported in Taiwan, but later it spread to the East Asian countries, then, it migrated to Canada and finally it invaded the Chinatowns of United States.

There are uncountable variances from the original boba tea created in Taiwan. Most of these versions have added some ingredients, although the preparation is still applied to all of them equally. The most popular variants nowadays are the “bubble black tea” which is a traditional Chinese beverage that means in a literary translation “foam red tea” ( pà o mò hóng chá), the “bubble green tea”( pà o mò lÇœ chá)and the “pearl milk tea”( zhÄ“n zhÅ« nÇŽi chá).

The oldest boba tea ever prepared consisted of a gathering of hot Taiwanese black tea, some tapioca pearls, syrup or honey and condensed milk. At the beginning, reports stated that it was not until a Japanese TV-show promoted it, the boba tea was not solicited or al least consumed. However, this simple touch of publicity increased its consumption in Asia and, successively, in other regions of the world.

In many places and contrary to its initial conception, it is consumed cold rather than hot. One of the main ingredients is also commonly replaced by natural substances: the black tea. Now, the use of jasmine- infused green tea or the total substitution of the tea by other fruit- based products have given a new and fresh perspective to the boba tea worldwide.

If you want to try with a new flavor, you can simply add some fruit- based products which are now commercialized as powders, juices, pulps or syrups.

How to Make a Great Cup of Tea – Part 2

It is not uncommon for a member of Maya Tea to be dubbed a “tea snob.” While the phrase, in its inclusion of the word snob, carries a negative connotation, it is not a label that we shy away from. In Steeping Around, our hope is that a bit of our snobbery rubs off on you. Every tea drinker, in our opinion, ought to sip on silky, smooth, sensational tea. With this in mind, “we’re going to go on our soapbox a little bit,” warns Manish Shah as he introduces his final tips for making an excellent cup of tea. (more…)

How Do You Make Tea

Green tea leaves steeping in an uncovered zhon...

Image via Wikipedia

So you’ve hit this site, and you are like…dang how do you make tea? Then you see me, and I’m like…dang I’ll substantiate you how you make tea.

You know it can’t be rocket science. Like me, you’ve tried searching around for some answers. And like me, you are perhaps not going to succeed providing all of those crazy, cash-hungry idiots out there.

In my culture (try foreseeing where Kew comes from!), tea is everything. I really don’t can identify which teas consumers serve in restaurants and stuff, but we just do.

We don’t drink water, we drink tea. And when I was young, I’d ask my mom some questions like, say, “Why do we drink tea?” and “How do you make tea?”. See? I ask the same questions.

My mom may just reply in her native tongue, “Child, you put that in there, the water in there, and wait”. Doesn’t that sound so simple?

Was so how to make all teas? To make yellow tea, to make iced tea, to fashion bubble tea, to make chai tea, and to make sun tea, you just “put now in there, the water in there, and wait”? It must undergo been so a great deal more complicated, but what did I appreciate as a kid? I brushed off the skeptic side of me and tried to do what my mom instructed. Result? Some bitter, COLD water, and wet tea leaves and bags. What a waste of time.

Pickwick Tea – What’s the Best Way to Brew a Perfect Cup?

A cup of Picwick tea in a promotional Picwick mug.

A CUP OF PICWICK TEA IN A PROMOTIONAL PICWICK MUG. Image via Wikipedia

What could possibly be less complicated than brewing a cup of Pickwick tea? The act itself seems pretty simple but there are several details to think about if you wish to obtain as much benefit and satisfaction as possible from drinking tea.

The Water Quality Is Important

The quality of the water used to brew tea has a huge effect on the taste. Sink water can often be fairly “hard” meaning there is a high degree of dissolved minerals like calcium, magnesium and a variety of sulfates that may have a negative impact on the tea’s flavor.

Moreover the chlorine and fluoride put in drinking water by many cities and municipalities likewise influences the taste of the water. Consequently you should use your favorite brand of bottled spring water (not distilled water) instead. If you really take pleasure in drinking tea you ought to try this and decide whether you can tell a difference in the taste of your Pickwick tea.

The Temperature of the Water is Crucial

The temperature of the water is also important for making an outstanding cup of Pickwick tea. Different teas need different water temperatures. The majority of tea used in the USA is called black tea however green tea is becoming more popular all the time.

Pickwick tea includes both types in their large line of premium tea. Black tea acquires its characteristic black color due to the fact it is strongly oxidized in the course of its refinement. Green tea isn’t oxidized when it’s refined and therefore keeps the original green color of the tea leaves. Because of this difference both types have different requirements for the temperature of the water employed to brew them.
